Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small country full of unforgettable experiences: within a few days you will travel from the white beach of the Pacific Ocean into the calm atmosphere of the Caribbean (Atlantic Coast), and in between you can enjoy the lively capital San José. The people of Costa Rica are proud of their peaceful land – a heartfelt nation, where strangers quickly feel at home.

It was the gold jewelry of the Indians that impressed Columbus so much that he named his new discovery Costa Rica – the rich coast. Today, other treasures characterize the relatively small country in Central America: Costa Rica has a true diversity and an enormous wealth of fauna and flora. These include 10% of the butterfly species of our planet, 150 species of frogs and amphibians and 50 species of hummingbirds. More than a quarter of the total land area is under nature protection.
