By foot we hike on the car-free natural paradises – Sun and Moon-Island – along Lake Titicaca and visit the picturesque pilgrimage site Copacabana. Inca ruins, Andean villages, majestic volcanoes and extraordinary culinary experiences await us on our travels through this dreamlike country. Trip itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Sucre

At the airport in Sucre we are welcomed by our tour guide and brought to our hotel in the city center. The afternoon is at leisure for us to acclimatize (Sucre is situated at about 2,800 m altitude) and make our first discoveries. We get to stroll through the beautiful city, also named the white city because of its amazing architecture. Thanks to the pleasant climate, colorful flowers thrive in the gardens and on Sucre’s’ well-kept squares. The whitewashed old town is a typical and well-preserved example of Spanish colonial architecture. Sucre was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991.
